
Jordi Cuixart (1975) is the president of Òmnium Cultural, an independent organisation founded in 1961 with over 120,000 members and 40 local branches. It mainly aims to promote the Catalan culture and language, education and social cohesion. Òmnium also supports the Catalans’ right to decide their political future.
Mr Cuixart is president of a company that exports packaging machinery and co-founder and chairman of FemCAT, a private foundation of Catalan businessmen.
